AT&T doesn't seem to care about creating problems for others in its quest to take over the Lawrence, Kansas market. Whether it is not calling 811, or simply avoiding the call with crap like this…we, the citizens of Lawrence, will eventually pay the price.
A few decades ago, a company called Galaxy took this same approach. Shoddy planning and placement of service lines led to constant disruptions. Over time, the lines degraded to the point of being unserviceable.
The subcontractors who are currently working for AT&T are not worried about any of this. They have a schedule to keep and a payday to cash in if they do. A motivation to cut corners that must be addressed by the only capable entity… AT&T.
