Tyrants always seem to want the ID. They do not want it because they need it for anything… It is the simple fact that YOU said "no"! And that is the part that tyrants hate. AND when WE assert our 4th Amendment Right in order to keep our privacy and practice our rights, THEY turn it around on us and claim we are the ones being difficult, or we have something to hide or we want to do things the hard way. If they would stick to the rules and understand they need reasonable, articulable, suspicion of a crime just to detain us to find probable cause to get that ID lawfully, I think there would be lot less misunderstandings. It is a citizen's right to keep themselves private. I pulled examples of citizens who want to keep they Identity private and law enforcement that gets really upset at someone simply asserting their rights.
